IKV manufacturer a full range of food grade lubricants for food and pharmaceutical applications, all of which are at the forefront of technology and allow extended performance over conventional lubricants whilst having NSF H1, H2 or 3H classification.

We can supply everything from hydraulic,  gearbox and general lubricating oils to food grade greases for extremes of temperature from –73 C to 300 C+. We also have a range of biodegradable products should this be required.

Our IKV RAMCA range of synthetic ester bakery chain oils is ideal for bakery chains running at extremes of temperature where minimal lacquering and relubrication coupled with long chain life is the goal. These oils can be either automatically applied or brushed on manually. We also supply Ramca oils in aerosol form.

Food Approved Oils

For food and beverage producers, pharmaceuticals manufacturers, and producers of containers used to package food-related products, there’s no more important lubrication issue than the use of what are typically referred to as “food-grade lubricants”.

Lubricants intended for use in food production are registered with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) as either H1, H2 or H3, depending on the intended application and formulation. Registration is voluntary and simply requires a review of the product ingredients with a list of compounds known to be “safe” for incidental food contact at low levels.

Of the three, H1 is by far the most important classification and is typically referred to as a lubricant designated for “incidental food contact”. This relates to applications where it is possible for the lubricant to touch the product (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, etc.) in low concentrations due to leakage or over-lubrication.The only classifications for registration of a lubricant by the NSF are the following:-


      3H - Direct Food Contact     

      H1 - General - incidental contact

      H2 - General - no contact

      H3 - Soluble oils

      HX-1 - Ingredients for use in H1 Lubricants
      (incidental contact)

      HX-2 - Ingredients for use in H2 Lubricants
      (no contact)

      HX-3 - Ingredients for use in H3 Lubricants
      (soluble oils)


The 3 H classification is different and can be used for many different food processing substances. It is classified 3H as a release agent for direct food contact. This could be chopping boards or meat slicing blades, micers and so on to stop the meat sticking and act as a lubricating film and release material.

Food Approved Oils

The IKV Food Grade Oil range includes the IKV BESLUX CHAIN 3020 ATOX is a high temperature, fully synthetic bakery chain oil used widely in tortilla ovens, naan bread production and other flat bread applications which is NSF H1 certified.

Also the BESLUX GEAR ATOX for gear boxes, transmissions, medium charged bearings, slideways or applications requiring a medium EP oil.  The BESLUX GEAR ATOX is available in ISO viscosity 100, 150, 220, 320, 460 & 680.

Our BESSIL F is a food approved silicone oil with good thermal resistance. Our BESSIL Range of multifunction silicone fluids are used as lubricant, heat transfer fluid, di-electric oil and priming oil of elastomers. They have good chemical and thermical resistance. The BESSILl F-100 and BESSIL F-10000 are also NSF-H1 approved for use in the food industry. The Brugarolas products G. BESLUX ATOX, BESLUX ATOX and BESLUX GEAR ATOX have been designed specifically to lubricate machines and equipment in the food industry where there may be incidental contact with food.

The DENSOLINA range is for applications where direct food contact lubrication is required for example on meat slicers, cutting blades and chopping boards.

DENSOLINA RVT is our NSF 3H range of oils which is intended for the lubrication of any mechanism - it has good lubricity and adherence. It has NSF 3H (direct food contact) registration and is suitable for use in industrial transportation applications where incidental or direct human or animal food contact is possible.  

DENSOLINA is intended for the general lubrication on any mechanism requiring a stainless, medium viscosity, food grade product that will not contaminate.  It also offers exceptional performance in many areas to make runners slide freely, eliminate friction and it dries tack-free so dust and dirt do not accumulate.

DENSOLINA oil  can be applied by brush, pump  spray or back pack sprayer with lance for larger applications & hard to reach areas.
