Our Beslux Crown range are products specially formulated for open gears. They are used extensively in the steel industry, brick and cement, mining and chemical industries. The range includes aluminium complex greases with high quality graphite content. Some are designed for use in automatic lubricating systems.

Running In of Open Gears
For the start-up process of a new open-gear, the aim of the adaptation process is to reach maximum load capacity in the shortest possible time, running in of the teeth-flanks and preserving their geometric shape.
The Beslux Crown lubricant range for open-gears extends the life of the gears in rolling mills, rotary-kilns and many other applications.

Priming
Beslux Crown H-1/R is applied to any new gear on the load flanks, teeth and the bottom between teeth. It is an adherent lubricant with high graphite content giving a uniform film. It can be applied with a brush or manual spray gun. If the lubricating film is not achieved after starting the drive with an auxilary engine, the application must be repeated.
Before starting the gear priming with Beslux Crown H-1/R, controls of the load values and toothing allowance must be
carried-out. Care must be taken that priming lubricant does not enter in the automatic spray pump.
The quantity of Beslux Crown H-1/R used for first application depends on the number of teeth in the crown, the width of the teeth in the pinions. Please contact us for further details.
Start-Up Control
Before starting operating, the automatic spray system must be checked (pump, nozzle, air pressure) following manufacturers instructions. The lubricant is sprayed over the load flanks of the drive pinion or load flanks of the crown (depending on manufacturer specifications).
It is important to check position and setting of the nozzles. The number of nozzles to ensure a complete covering depends on the teeth flank width. Those nozzles must be located between 150 and 200 mm distance from the drive-pinion and the crown.
Running In
The running-in process of open gears is carried-out by setting the automatic spray system pump at maximum lubricant flow. The exact quantity of Beslux Crown H-00/R depends on the running-in hours, tooth flanks width, and necessary volume of lubricant.
Once the running-in process is complete the change is made to Beslux Crown H-0. Because the products are from the same range it is not necessary to clean and eliminate the Beslux Crown H-00/R before use.
Dip Bath Lubricants
In many dip lubrication cases bituminous products are applied. These are inconvenient due to loss from leakage or evaporation and the necessity of having heat systems in the bath.
We have developed running-in and operating products for dip bath lubrication.

Gearbox Lubricants
The IKV gearbox range is extensive and includes EXTRA GEAR SAE - monograde oil for gearboxes and manual transmission sets, mainly in the car industry (Extra Gear 80W EP, 90 EP, 140EP).
Also Super Extra Gear which are a range of oils for gearboxes intended for hypoid transmissions (SUPER EXTRA GEAR 80W EP, 90 EP, 140 EP, 75W90 EP, 80W90 EP and 85W140 EP).
Our BESLUX GEAR Range are EP mineral oils for use on industrial gears, plain bearings, reducers and transmissions. They offer excellent resistance to temperatures and because of the highly refined nature of the base oils they are completely inert to materials such as bronze (BESLUX GEAR 68, 100, 150, 220, 320, 460, 680 and 3800).
However the upmost in gearbox lubricants are the BESLUX GEAR HP-F Range (BESLUX GEAR HP-150F, BESLUX GEAR HP-220 F, BESLUX GEAR HP-320-F and BESLUX GEAR HP-460-F). They reduce friction, wear and noise, smooth the surface roughness and piting of the gears. They contain oil soluble organic molybdenum. It is a red colour and tacky appearance.
The BESLUX GEARSINT Range are synthetic hydrocarbon based oils for severe load and temperature operating conditions. The offer a low co-efficient of friction and high viscosity index. They have outstanding resistance to temperature and were designed for gear boxes and bearings (BESLUX GEARSINT 68, 150, 220, 320 & 460).
The Reversible Range is a highly refined gear oil for the lubrication of transmissions. It contains EP (exreme pressure) additives for equipment operating under medium loads. These products offer outstanding quality: price ratio (REVERSIBLE 80, 85, 90 & 140).
Open Gear Lubricants
Our BESLUX CROWN range are products specially formulated for open gears. They are used extensively in the steel industry, brick and cement, mining and chemical industries. The range includes aluminium complex greases with high quality graphite content. Some are designed for use in automatic lubricating systems.
The range includes BESLUX CROWN H-00/R which contains graphite, and is used for running-in of new gears. Its purpose is the elimination of surface roughness of the teeth. Is applied by automatic spray system. BESLUX CROWN H-00/R is also used as a repair lubricant for small defects in open-gears, such as scoring and roughness.
BESLUX CROWN H-0 PLUS has been designed more specially for those oversized or overloaded gears working in very extreme conditions. BESLUX CROWN H-0 PLUS can be used too in normal working conditions whenever a lubricant with higher perfomance than BESLUX CROWN H-0 is required.
Also available are our special service greases: BESLUX CROWN H-3000, H-1000 & H-1500 PLUS.
These greases are variations of the BESLUX CROWN H-0 and BESLUX CROWN H-0 PLUS which have higher viscosities base oil (ISO VG 1000 & ISO VG 1500) to meet the specifications of some open gear manufacturers.
